Old-Fashioned Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 c. sugar
    1 stick butter
    1 egg
    water or milk
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients, except water or milk with fingertips. Add enough water or milk to make dough stiff enough to be rolled out.
    Roll out dough fairly thin.
    Sprinkle surface of dough with additional sugar.
    Cut dough into rounds.
    Place on greased cookie sheet and bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes or until brown.
    Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
