Date Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. dates, chopped
    1 stick butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. sugar
    1 egg, beaten
    2 1/2 c. Rice Krispies
    3/4 c. chopped nuts
    shredded coconut
Preparation
    Cook dates, sugar, butter and egg together until soft.
    Cool slightly and add vanilla, Rice Krispies and nuts.
