Fried Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. green tomatoes
    4 eggs
    1 1/4 c. corn meal
    3/4 c. water
    1/4 c. chives (optional)
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    oil
Preparation
    Slice tomatoes; do not peel.
    Put slices between paper towels to absorb liquid.
    Mix batter of eggs, corn meal, chives, water, salt and pepper.
    Fry in an iron skillet after battering each slice.
    Don't over heat oil.
    Turn to brown each side.
