Cheese Fondue - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 slices 1-inch thick bread, cubed
    1/2 lb. grated American cheese
    5 eggs, beaten
    2 c. milk
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. butter, melted
Preparation
    Divide bread into thirds.
    Butter baking dish.
    Layer 1/3 bread, 1/2 cheese, repeat with bread on top.
    Add eggs to milk and salt.
    Pour over bread and cheese mixture.
    Let stand in refrigerator overnight.
    Before baking, pour melted butter over top.
    Set casserole in pan of hot water.
    Bake at 325\u00b0, uncovered.
    When brown and crusty, put on cover and continue to bake for 45 minutes.
