Val'S Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head shredded lettuce
    1 c. green pepper, chopped bite-size or 1 whole pepper (amount can vary)
    1 c. celery, chopped
    1 medium red onion, sliced and separated
    1 (10 oz.) frozen green peas
    1 c. Hellmann's mayonnaise
    1/2 c. grated sharp cheese
    1/4 to 1/2 c. Bacon Bits or crumbled crisp bacon
Preparation
    Layer in large deep bowl in the order listed. Stir before serving.
