Scalded Corn Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pt. water
    11 oz. plain corn meal
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Bring water to a boil; gradually mix meal with water.
    Set in refrigerator for 20 minutes.
    Deep fry at 350\u00b0 for 5 minutes in skillet with 1-inch of fat.
