Angel Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 c. all-purpose flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
3 Tbsp. sugar
3/4 c. vegetable shortening
1 yeast cake
1/2 c. lukewarm water
2 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Mix flour, baking powder, salt, soda and sugar.
Cut in vegetable shortening.
Add yeast cake, dissolved in lukewarm water and buttermilk.
Mix with large spoon until flour mix is moist. Keep covered bowl in refrigerator until ready to use.
Take out amount needed.
Roll on floured board to 1/2-inch thick.
Cut and bake at 400\u00b0 until brown.
Makes about 5 dozen.
Keeps a few weeks in refrigerator.
