Mexican Lasagna - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 lb. can tomatoes
    1 (14 oz.) jar taco sauce
    4 oz. can chopped, ripe olives
    4 oz. can chopped green chiles, partially drained
    1 tsp. salt (if needed) and pepper
    10 corn tortillas
    3/4 lb. Monterey Jack cheese, sliced thin (freeze 2 or 3 hours before slicing)
    3/4 c. Ricotta cheese
    1 egg
    tortilla chips, crushed
    1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Brown meat, onion and garlic in a large skillet; drain off fat.
    Add tomatoes, taco sauce, olives, green chiles, salt and pepper, stirring to blend mixture.
    Simmer 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
