Aunt Maud'S Poppy Seed Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3/4 c. butter
    3/4 c. milk
    2 eggs
    1 c. poppy seed
    3/4 c. milk
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Soak poppy seed in 3/4 cup milk overnight.
    Sift dry ingredients.
    Add shortening and 2/3 of milk; beat well.
    Add poppy seed last.
    Pour into medium sized tube pan and bake at 375\u00b0 to 400\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Ice with fudge frosting.
    Serves 12.
