Hamburg Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. browned hamburg, drained
    2 1/2 c. tomatoes
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 c. cubed potatoes
    1 c. diced carrots
    1/2 c. diced celery
    1/2 tsp. dried thyme
    1/4 tsp. basil
    3 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    1 c. shredded cabbage
    1 1/2 qt. water
    1/4 c. rice
Preparation
    Brown hamburg; drain.
    Bring to boil the vegetables. Add the seasoning, cabbage and water.
    Bring to a boil again.
    Add the rice.
    Cover and simmer for 1 hour.
