Tex-Mex Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. ground beef (can use turkey or chicken)
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes (stewed tomatoes work well)
    1 (16 oz.) can pinto beans
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 c. water
    2/3 c. picante sauce or more to taste
    1/4 tsp. cumin
Preparation
    In a 3-quart saucepan, brown onion and hamburger.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Heat for 10 minutes.
    Serve with crushed corn or tortilla chips, cheese, sour cream and shredded lettuce.
