Memmie'S Chocolate Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    2 heaping Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 heaping Tbsp. cocoa
    2 eggs, separated
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. milk
    1 1/2 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 (9-inch) pie crust, baked
Preparation
    Bake pie crust according to directions on package.
    Heat milk in double boiler.
    While it is heating, mix sugar, salt, cornstarch and cocoa well; set aside.
    Beat egg yellows slightly, adding 1/3 cup of the warmed milk.
    Pour egg mixture back into milk in double boiler.
    Add sugar mixture.
    Stir constantly over medium heat until thick.
    Remove from heat.
    Add butter and vanilla.
    Allow to cool slightly.
    Pour into cool baked pie shell.
    Top with meringue.
