Walnut Pound Cake - cooking recipe

3 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 lb. (1 c.) butter or margarine, softened
1 1/2 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
4 eggs, separated
1 c. plain low-fat yogurt
1/2 c. milk
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 c. chopped walnuts
walnut halves
Preparation

Sift together flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.
In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add egg yolks, one a a time, beating well after each.
At low speed, gradually beat in yogurt, milk and vanilla.
Gradually add dry ingredients; beating until fluffy.
Scrape bowl as needed.
Stir in chopped walnuts.
