Becky'S Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yeast
    1/4 c. warm water
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 c. sugar
    1 c. buttermilk
    1/2 c. shortening
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast.
    Mix dry ingredients.
    Cut in shortening. Stir in yeast mixture and buttermilk.
    Blend thoroughly and refrigerate or roll into biscuits.
    Let rise slightly; bake at 400\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
    Dough will keep up to 3 days in fridge.
    Makes 8 fat biscuits.
