Chili-Cheese Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. plus 1 tsp. margarine, divided
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 garlic clove, minced
    8 oz. cooked ground beef, crumbled
    1 can green chilies, chopped
    1 Tbsp. plus 1 tsp. tomato paste
    1 tsp. chili powder
    salt
    dash of ground pepper
    3/4 c. four
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 large egg
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    In 8 ounce nonstick skillet, heat 1 teaspoon margarine over medium heat until bubbly and hot.
    Add onion and garlic; saute about 3 minutes.
    Add beef, chilies, tomato paste, chili powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt and ground pepper.
    Cook, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes.
    Transfer mixture to a 9-inch pie plate and sprinkle with cheese.
