Potato Soup(Yia Yias) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 to 12 potatoes, pared and quartered
    2 stalks celery, chopped fine
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 onion, chopped fine
    2 c. hot milk
    1 carrot, chopped
    1 c. chicken broth (optional)
Preparation
    In 6-quart
    pot, boil potatoes until tender, not mushy. Drain. Saute celery and onion in a little oil and butter; set aside. Put
    potatoes
    into pot; mash coarsely.
    Add onion and celery. Add
    hot
    milk,
    salt and pepper.
    Add chicken broth. Stir well. If\ttoo
    thick,
    add
    more\tmilk
    to thickness you desire.\tWe like it thick.
