Salsa - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    16 c. peeled chopped tomatoes
    2 c. green peppers, chopped
    2 c. chopped onion
    1 1/2 c. chopped jalapeno pepper (about 6 to 8 peppers for mild-medium salsa)
    3 Tbsp. salt
    2 to 2 1/2 Tbsp. chili powder
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1 c. vinegar
    6 to 8 cloves garlic, chopped
Preparation
    Simmer all ingredients in large pot, uncovered, for 1 hour. Make paste of 6 tablespoons cornstarch and 2/3 cup water.
    Add to sauce and simmer to thicken.
