Doughnuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 eggs
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. cream (sweet or slightly sour)
    2 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. lemon extract
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. soda (mix in cup with buttermilk)
    6 c. flour (using some for rolling)
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients together and roll out dough on well floured towel to about 1/4-inch deep. Cut with doughnut cutter or in strips, if desired. Fry in deep fryer until golden brown. Makes about 7 dozen.
