Vidalia Onion Pie - cooking recipe

1 1/2 c. crushed butter crackers
6 Tbsp. margarine
2 c. sliced Vidalia onions
3/4 c. milk
2 eggs
3/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. grated Cheddar cheese
paprika
parsley flakes
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Mix cracker crumbs and 4 tablespoons butter; press into 8-inch pie plate.
Melt 2 tablespoons butter. Saute onions until tender.
Beat other ingredients, except cheese, together.
Pour onions over cracker crust. Pour other mixture over onions.
Sprinkle with grated cheese and dot with paprika or parsley flakes.
Bake 35 minutes.
