Cheese And Pineapple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. syrup from canned crushed pineapple
1 envelope plain gelatin
1/4 c. cold water
1 c. crushed pineapple
1 c. heavy cream, whipped
1 (4 oz.) pkg. Philadelphia cream cheese

Preparation

Mix and dissolve cream cheese in sugar and a little cream. Cook sugar, syrup and cold water until dissolved.
Soften gelatin in cold water; add to juice.
Chill until partially set.
Add pineapple, cheese and whipped cream.
Add English walnuts if desired.
