Beef Paprika - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. beef or stew meat
    1/4 c. pork drippings
    1/2 lb. onions
    2 garlic cloves
    1 Tbsp. flour
    2 1/2 c. beef broth
    1/2 tsp. dried marjoram
    1/2 tsp. caraway seed
    brown sugar
    2 tsp. paprika
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Cube beef.
    Heat drippings in a large skillet or flame-proof casserole.\tAdd
    beef
    and fry until brown on all sides. Peel and chop
    onions
    and garlic.
    Add to pan and cook until transparent. Sprinkle
    in
    flour
    and stir into mixture.
    Add broth, marjoram, caraway
    seed, a pinch of sugar, paprika and seasonings.
    Cover tightly and cook gently for 1 3/4 hours.
