Rice Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. regular long grain rice
    4 c. boiling water
    2 3/4 c. milk
    1/3 to 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 Tbsp. (level) cornstarch, dissolved in 1/4 c. listed milk
Preparation
    Bring water to boil; add rice.
    Boil for 14 minutes.
    Drain rice (optional).
    Mix remaining ingredients while boiling.
    Cook until thick; stir constantly.
    Serve warm or cold with cinnamon sugar.
    Can be rewarmed in microwave.
    Use 2-quart kettle or larger.
