Velvet Smooth Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. soft butter
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. grated lemon peel or lemon extract
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/4 c. sifted powdered sugar
    3 large unbeaten eggs
    1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
Preparation
    Combine butter and flavorings; gradually beat in sugar and cream until light and fluffy.
    Beat in 1 egg, 1/4 cup flour and repeat until eggs are used; add remaining flour and stir until smooth.
    Spread batter in greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
    Cut through with knife to break air bubbles.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour. Remove from pan immediately.
    Cool on cake rack.
