Mama'S Apple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 stick butter
    1/8 c. milk
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
    2 heaping Tbsp. flour
    1 egg
    3 Tbsp. vinegar
    6 to 8 medium apples
Preparation
    Peel, core and dice apples.
    Pour vinegar over them; set aside. Pour remaining ingredients in saucepan; heat over medium heat, stirring constantly so as not to burn or scorch, until thickened. Pour over apples.
    Chill and serve.
