Lemon Snowballs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. vegetable shortening
    2/3 c. sugar
    2 tsp. grated lemon rind
    1 egg
    3 tsp. lemon juice
    1 Tbsp. water
    1 3/4 c. sifted flour
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. finely chopped nuts
    about 1 c. confectioners sugar
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar together in bowl until light and fluffy.
    Add lemon rind and egg; beat well.
    Stir in lemon juice and water.
    Sift flour, baking soda, cream of tartar and salt into separate bowl.
    Add to shortening mixture and blend well.
    Stir in nuts.
    Refrigerate dough until well chilled.
