Eliza'S Fried Apple Pies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. flour
3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. (heaped) shortening
1/2 c. powdered milk
1/2 c. plus 2 Tbsp. water (finish filling cup with water to equal 1 c.)
Preparation

In a medium bowl, mix all ingredients as for biscuits.
Turn out on a floured surface, mixing in additional flour to rolling consistency.
Pinch off enough dough about walnut size; roll dough very thin.
Spread half the surface with 2 tablespoons dried apple filling; fold over and seal edges by pressing with fork.
Fry in small amount of solid shortening until golden brown on both sides.
