Rhubarb Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sour milk
2 c. flour
3 c. rhubarb, cut very fine
1/4 c. colored candy sprinkles (red sugar)
Preparation

Cream the shortening, sugar and salt. Beat in egg
until very light.
Add baking soda to sour milk and stir into egg mixture alternating with flour. Fold in rhubarb and candy sprinkles.
Pour into a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
Sprinkle with topping. Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 45 minutes.
Yields 10 to 12 servings.
