Hot Caramel Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. granulated sugar, caramelized
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    3/4 c. cream
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    To caramelize sugar, place a heavy skillet over low heat. Stir constantly until melted and brown.
    Place granulated sugar and cream in a double boiler and heat to boiling point.
    Add caramelized sugar and stir until well blended.
    Remove from heat; add butter and vanilla.
    Beat thoroughly.
    May be reheated over hot water.
    Store in jar in refrigerator.
