Potato Fritters - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 medium potatoes
    1 medium size onion
    1 large egg, lightly beaten
    3 Tbsp. flour (all-purpose)
    1 to 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    vegetable oil for frying
    1 pkg. grated cheese
Preparation
    Cook potatoes until done.
    Drain and mash.
    Let stand for about an hour or until cooled, then add the remaining ingredients. Pat into small patties; put vegetable oil in hot frying pan, then add potato fritters.
    Fry until golden brown.
    Top with your favorite cheese while hot and enjoy.
