Mrs. Beck'S Brunswick Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 hen
    3 medium onions
    1/2 head cabbage
    1 1/2 or 2 qt. tomatoes
    3 c. corn
    2 c. butter beans, cooked
    1 stick margarine
    sugar (about 1/2 c.)
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Cook the first 4 ingredients together on warm overnight. Remove chicken bones and skin.
    Cut up and add the other ingredients.
    Cook until corn is tender.
    Thicken with mashed potatoes.
