Sugar-Cured Hams - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. salt (plain)
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 Tbsp. black pepper
    1 Tbsp. red pepper
Preparation
    Mix together. Pat on fresh hams; wrap in brown paper. Tie string around ham
    to secure paper.
    Place in a cotton \"sack.\" Hang in a cool dry place for ham to cure.
