Almond Crescent Cookies(A Christmastime Favorite) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 2/3 c. sifted flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. butter
    1/3 c. sugar
    2/3 c. blanched ground almonds
    1/2 tsp. almond extract
    1 c. confectioners sugar
Preparation
    Cream butter.
    Add sugar; beat well.
    Add almonds and extract. Mix in flour and salt.
    Chill dough for 2 hours.
    Roll into pencil-thin strips, 2 1/2 inches long.
    Place 1 inch apart on baking sheets.
    Curl into crescents.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
    Cool on pan.
    Roll in confectioners sugar.
