Broccoli-Onion Deluxe - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen broccoli
    1 to 2 medium onions, chopped
    1/4 c. butter
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    1/2 c. shredded sharp American or Velveeta cheese
    1 c. soft bread crumbs
Preparation
    Cook broccoli and onion until tender.
    Put in the bottom of a 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.
    In saucepan, melt half of the butter. Blend in flour, salt and a dash of pepper.
    Add milk.
    Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened and bubbly.
    Reduce heat; blend in cream cheese until smooth.
    Pour over broccoli and onion. Place cheese on top and then use other half of butter; melt and toss bread crumbs in and put on top.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes.
