Squash Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. yellow squash
    3 tsp. butter
    1 c. Ritz crackers
    1 c. sharp cheese
    1 small onion
    1/2 tsp. salt
    dash of black pepper
    1/2 c. milk
    1 egg
Preparation
    Chop squash and onion and boil together until tender.
    Remove from heat and drain, then stir in salt, pepper, milk, butter and egg; mix well.
    Crush crackers.
    Grate cheese, then pour into 2 layers.
    Start with squash, then cheese and crackers.
    Repeat again.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 30 minutes.
