Mexican Chili Bake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. chopped onions
    1 c. chopped green peppers
    1 clove garlic, crushed
    1 Tbsp. butter
    3 c. cooked rice
    2 cans diced tomatoes and green chilies
    1 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 lb. lean ground beef
    1 c. grated cheese
    1 c. crushed corn chips
Preparation
    In large skillet, cook onions, green peppers and garlic in butter until tender but not brown. Stir in rice, tomatoes and seasoning.
    Heat thoroughly.
    Saute beef; stir beef into rice mixture.
    Spoon half of beef-rice mixture into buttered, shallow 2-quart casserole dish.
    Sprinkle with 1/2 cup cheese and 1/2 cup corn chips.
    Repeat layers.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes, or until heated thoroughly.
