Cabbage Patch Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. ground beef
    2 medium onions, chopped
    1 small head cabbage, chopped
    2 c. water
    2 (15oz.) cans kidney beans, undrained
    1 (15 oz.) can tomatoes
    salt and pepper to taste
    2 tsp. chili powder or to taste
Preparation
    Cook ground beef and onions until meat is browned.
    Drain off fat, return to heat and add beans and tomatoes.
    Cook for fifteen minutes.
    Add cabbage, water, salt, pepper and chili powder.
    Cook for an additional 15 minutes.
    Serve with cornbread.
    This stew is better served the next day.
