1 c. sifted self-rising flour
1/2 c. softened butter
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
1 egg, beaten
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 Tbsp. water
1/2 c. creamy peanut butter
Preparation

Preheat oven to 325\u00b0. Grease cookie sheets. Work butter in a bowl until creamy.
Add sugars and beat well.
Add egg and vanilla. Beat well.
Blend in water and peanut butter.
Gradually add dry ingredients and beat until smooth.
Drop by teaspoons onto cookie sheet, 2-inches apart. Crisscross with fork.
Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until light brown.
