Spaghetti With Marinara Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large onion, chopped
    2 medium carrots, finely chopped
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    2 Tbsp. cooking oil
    2 (28 oz.) cans tomatoes, cut up
    8 oz. spaghetti or linguine
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. dried oregano, crushed
    dash of pepper
    dash of crushed pepper
Preparation
    In a 3-quart saucepan, cook onion, carrots and garlic in hot oil until tender, but not brown. Add undrained tomatoes, sugar, salt, oregano, pepper and red pepper. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, for 45 to 60 minutes or to desired consistency.
    Cook pasta in large amount of boiling salted water until tender; drain well. Serve with tomato mixture. Serves 8.
