Glorified Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (9 oz.) can crushed pineapple
    2/3 c. packaged precooked rice
    2/3 c. water
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. tiny marshmallows
    1 fully ripe banana, diced
    2 tsp. lemon juice
    1 c. heavy cream, whipped
Preparation
    Drain pineapple, reserving the syrup.
    In a saucepan, combine rice, water, pineapple syrup and salt.
    Mix just to moisten the rice.
    Bring quickly to boiling, reduce heat, cover and simmer 5 minutes.
    Remove from heat and let stand 5 minutes.
    Add marshmallows, pineapple, banana and lemon juice. Stir and then allow to cool completely.
    Fold in cream.
    Chill before serving.
