French Toast With Brandied Lemon Butter - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
    12 slices bread (French), sliced and left out overnight to dry out
    powdered sugar (optional)
    2 Tbsp. plus 1 tsp. sugar
    1 c. whole milk
    butter
Preparation
    In a shallow dish, beat eggs, sugar, salt, milk and vanilla. Soak bread in mixture.
    Heat butter over medium-high heat and cook each slice until lightly browned on each side.
    Serve with maple syrup or Brandied Lemon Butter and lemon slices.
    Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
    Serves 6.
