Fruity Cereal Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. fruit-flavored gelatin
    1/3 c. light corn syrup
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    4 c. Trix cereal
Preparation
    Butter baking pan or dish (9 x 9 x 2-inches).
    In large saucepan, heat gelatin (dry), corn syrup and butter to boiling over medium heat, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat; stir in cereal until evenly coated.
    Pat mixture evenly in pan with buttered back of spoon.
    Cover, chill until set, about 30 minutes. Cut into 1 1/2-inch squares.
    Stores at room temperature.
    Makes 3 dozen squares.
