Mushrooms A La Grecque - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 tomatoes, cut up
    2 c. white wine
    3/4 lb. whole mushrooms
    freshly ground pepper to taste
    1 bay leaf
    1 Tbsp. olive oil
    salt to taste
Preparation
    Place tomatoes in a 1 1/2 to 2-quart casserole and add wine. Cook over low heat 20 to 25 minutes.
    Strain and discard liquid. Add the mushrooms (wash them first!), pepper, bay leaf and olive oil to tomato pulp.
    Cook 30 minutes over low heat.
    Correct seasoning with salt and pepper.
    Serve cold.
    Serves 4.
