Mary Ann'S Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef or venison
    1 lb. canned stewed tomatoes
    1 (8 oz.) jar picante sauce (mild, medium or hot)
    2 cans kidney beans, drained
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 (4 oz.) can tomato paste
    2 bay leaves
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. chili powder (if desired)
Preparation
    Brown meat and chopped onion; drain.
    Place meat mixture and the rest of ingredients in a large kettle or Dutch oven.
    Simmer for 1 hour.
    Stir occasionally.
