Ham Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 stick margarine, cut into small cubes
    3 lb. ham, sliced or cut from ham bone (you can use pieces)
    8 c. potato slices (1/2-inch thick)
    1 lb. carrots, sliced in 4-inch halves
    2 large onions
    2 cans cream of mushroom soup, mixed with 1 soup can milk
    1 1/2 c. grated cheese
    2 to 4 Tbsp. oil
    1/4 to 1/2 tsp. garlic powder (however you like it)
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Brown ham slices in hot oil.
    In a deep casserole dish or pan, place half the potatoes, carrots, onions, seasonings, cheese and margarine.
    Place ham slices on top of vegetables.
    Pour 1/2 the soup and milk mixture over this.
    Add the rest of the vegetables, margarine and spices.
    Sprinkle on cheese and add ham slices on top.
    Pour remaining soup mixture over top and bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours or until vegetables are tender.
