French-Style Green Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. string beans
    1/4 c. chicken broth
    1 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
    1/8 tsp. coarsely ground black pepper
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1/4 c. chopped red bell pepper
    1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
Preparation
    Rinse beans well, trim stem ends and cut beans lengthwise (French-style).
    Melt butter or margarine in medium-size skillet over medium heat; stir in chicken broth.
    Add beans; bring liquid to boil.
    Reduce heat and cook (covered) about 18 minutes.
    Add bell pepper, parsley, salt and pepper.
    Cook, uncovered, an additional 5 minutes.
    Makes 4 servings.
