Meal-In-One Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    chuck roast or stew meat
    1 large onion
    2 c. chopped celery
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 lb. mixed vegetables
    1/2 c. barley
    1/2 small can tomato paste
    1 large can tomato sauce
    large elbow macaroni noodles (optional)
Preparation
    Cut meat into small pieces.
    Add onion, celery, salt, pepper and a little water.
    Cook until tender.
    Take meat out of liquid and let cool.
    Remove any bones.
    To the liquid, add vegetables, barley, tomato paste and tomato sauce.
    Put meat back into liquid and cook on simmer until vegetables and barley are tender.
    Add water as needed.
    Cook and drain macaroni noodles and add to soup while simmering.
