New Orleans Pralines - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. dark brown sugar
    1 c. sugar
    3/4 c. whole milk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. whole pecans
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    4 c. Quaker oats (quick or old-fashioned, uncooked)
    1 1/2 c. chopped peanuts, walnuts or pecans
    1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    3/4 c. butter or margarine, melted
    1/2 c. honey or corn syrup
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients; mix well.
    Press firmly into well-greased 15 1/2 x 10 1/2-inch jelly roll pan.
    Bake in preheated very hot oven (450\u00b0) for about 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
    (Mixture will be golden brown and bubbly.)
    Cool thoroughly.
    Cut into bars.
    Makes 15 1/2 x 10 1/2-inch pan of bars.
