2/3 c. butter or margarine, cut up
4 c. self-rising flour
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
1 Tbsp. melted butter
Preparation

Put flour in a mixing bowl; cut butter in with a pastry cutter until crumbly. Add buttermilk and stir just until dry ingredients are moistened. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface; knead a few times. Pat or roll dough out to 1/2 or 3/4-inch thickness. Cut out with a 2 1/2-inch round cutter. Place on a lightly greased baking sheet; bake in a 425\u00b0 oven for 12 to 14 minutes. Brush tops with a little melted butter.
