Mustard Beets - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. vinegar (white)
    2 cans beets, sliced and drained
    1/2 tsp. instant onion, minced
    3 Tbsp. mustard, prepared
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Bring to a boil all ingredients, except beets, until sugar is dissolved (use wire whisk to mix in mustard).
    Add beets.
    (I sometimes put in slices of sweet onion too.)
    Simmer, uncovered, 5 minutes.
    Cool and put in jars and refrigerate.
