Toffee Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. margarine or half margarine and half butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg yolk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. chocolate chips
1/2 tsp. Crisco
ground walnuts

Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar.
Add egg yolk and vanilla; blend together.
Add flour, mix together again.
Spread this mixture onto a cookie sheet by pinching pieces of dough and pressing dough to cover the cookie sheet, working with your fingers.
Bake 15 minutes at 350\u00b0 oven.
